CBSE school-based STD 10th papers available online from Mar 3 2015

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared that question papers for 10th STD  school-based final exam will be available from March 3 2015. The board has a high secure website from where schools can download.

9th and 10th question papers (school-based) final exams. The school-based exams for std 10th is officially termed as scheme-1 while the traditional board exam is called scheme-2.

The initial hype and fascination for the school-based std X exam has almost died down since students were having a harrowing time getting admissions to std 9th of state board. While no official figures are available, it seems around 2% students in city have opted for the school-based exam.

For these couple of students, schools will have to conduct the exam within a time frame fixed by CBSE. While the question papers can be downloaded from March 3, the actual exams can start only from March 10 according to a circular issued by the board's academic director. The marking scheme will be available to schools from March 17, so valuation can start. The board has, however, warned schools to ensure that the dates for the scheme-1 and scheme-2 exams are not the same.
