Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is providing a pre-exam
psychological counseling to students and parents from February 2, 2015.
The annual counselling programme has been designed keeping in mind the
heterogeneity of students' population and geographical spread. It is in
its 18th year now and will continue till April 20, 2015.
CBSE tries to reach a wide audience through multiple modes of communication such as telephonic counselling, question answer columns in newspapers and online counselling, during this phase. The sessions to begin from February 2 will be in continuation till April 12.
According to a CBSE statement, this year 72 principals, trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and few psychologists will participate in tele-counselling and address exam related psychological problems of the students. Besides, 62 counsellors are from India whereas 10 are located in various countries like Nepal, Saudi Arabia (Al Khobar), Oman, UAE (Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah) and Kuwait.
Also, CBSE is providing counselling sessions for specially-abled children.
The students can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 from any part of the country. Or write in to directoracad.cbse@nic.in and counseling.cecbse@gmail.com for online sessions.
